PERSONAL
I am interested in becoming a tenured Professor, facilitator and leader at a college and or university in an established vibrant Dance Department. I can teach Ballet, Modern, Jazz, PilatesTechinque, Improvisation, Experiental Anatomy, Filipino Folk Dance, Southeast Asian Diaspora, Methods for teaching Dance (Pedagogy) , and Rudolf von Laban's Effort/Shape Theory as a basis for analyzing movement, expression, and improvisation for all performing arts.

Fall 2003 to 2006: Improvisation and Modern Dance Teacher for Actors, Theatre Total Bochum. I taught Improvsiation to Theater students.
Fall 2003 to 2008: Dance Teacher for Bergmansfeld-Grundschule Essen, Glückaufschule Gelsenkirchen, Heinrich Strunk Schule, Eric Kästner Schule in Ratingen, Germany. Headed by the Yehudi Menuhin Stiftung, Dusseldorf, Germany. I taught creative movement to children from 1st to 4th grades.

Fall 1998 to 2003: Guest Lecturer at the University of Bremen, Germany Music and Dance Department. I taught Music/Dance students the use of Rudolf von Laban's Effort/Shape Theory as a basis to express onelself with their instrument, to analyze how one carries their body through movement and to creatively use the theory to improvise and compose music
Fall 1994 to 2003: Teacher Landesinstitute für Schule Bremen, Germany. I taught teachers how to use improvisation techniques for movement, theater, and music for their Performing Arts Courses in Elementary Schools and High Schools.

Fall 2000 to 2003: Guest Trainer Hildesheim Stadttheater, Germany, Tanztheater. I gave Modern Dance Classes to the Dancers of the Company.
Fall 2000 to 2003: Guest Trainer Bremen Stadttheater, Germany Tanztheater. I was a guest trainer for the Tanztheater and have given them classes focusing on modern dance techniques and martial arts.
Fall 1994 to 2003: Teacher/Choreographer Impulse e.v. Bremen, Germany Padagogy Dance School. I taught students Modern Dance techniques and have choreographed two full evenings for children, students, professionals, and adults.
April 1999 to Sept.: 1999 Guest Teacher / Choreographer Folkwang Hochschule Essen, Germany Dance Department. My responsibilities were to teach Modern dance and Improvisation to the fourth year graduating class and choreograph their final exam program. I also taught to the fourth year Musicaltheater students Jazz Dance.

November 26, 2008: Choreographer and Performer “My Body, My House” an evening where I collaborated and brought two students from Duke University to perform at the Kunst Verien Ruhr in Essen, Germany.

November 23, 2008: Choreographer “Fearless” a repertory dance piece for 14 women dance students at Duke University. Collaboration with Composer John Hanks and Experiemental Film Maker Josh Gibson.

July 25 and 26, 2008: Choreographer and Performer “Ja Ja/ Nein Nein” a solo dance for DancerMakers showing at the Univeristy of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Aug. 24, 2000: Dancer/Choreographer Expo 2000 Hannover, Germany. Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie for the Deutscher Pavillion, A solo dance evening to percussion music with musicians from the Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Germany.
May 15, 2000: Dancer/Choreographer/Director Expo 2000 Hildesheim, Germany. Expo 2000 commissioned a solo dance evening with organ for the Christus Pavillion. I worked with Organ Prof. Roland Maria Stangier from the Folkwang Hochschule and performed this evening in the Mariendom.
April 29, 2000: Dancer/Choreographer Pro Musica Nova/Radio Bremen, Germany. Solo Dance Evening ''Cruiser: The Offering'' I created and performed in an evening composed by Helmut Oehring and worked with 3 deaf women and the ASKO ensemble from Amsterdam.
April 1999 to September 1999: Choreographer “Mechanical Constructions” for 22 Dancers of the 4th year class at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany.
April 1, 1999 and February 1998: Choreographer for Junges Theater Bremen, Germany.
Choreographed and assisted movement theater productions ''FRAU-MAN-HUT'' by Oliver Sachs and”Good Man Charlie Brown” by Clark Gesner. The first production was selected as one of the best free productions in Berlin.
January 29,1998: Dancer/Choreographer Stadttheater Bremen, Germany. Solo Dance Evening ''Tender Buttons'' A solo dance evening with two live musicians performing Olivier Messiaen's ''Vingt Regards Sur L'Enfant Jesus'' and J.S. Bach ''Chaconne'' from Partita No. 2 for solo violin. Inspired by the book of poetry with the same title by Gertrude Stein.
March 1996: Dancer/Choreographer Stadttheater Bremen, Germany. A Solo Dance Evening “No Escape” Music Collage. This piece was invited by The Goethe Institut in Atlanta, Georgia.

March 2003: Dancer Injun Jun´s Blue Elephant Co. “O²” Choreographic Centrum Essen, Germany.

May-Aug 2002: Dancer for Marc Siezkarek Company in cooperation with Dance Factory from Ghana for the RuhrTriennale in Mülheim, Germany.

Fall 1993 to Summer 1994: Dancer Folkwang Tanzstudio / Wuppertal Tanztheater in Essen and Wuppertal, Germany. I worked with guest choreographers and Pina Bausch.
Spring 1989 to Spting 1993: Dancer Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Co., Shapiro and Smith Dance, Sally Silvers, and Kei Takei's Moving Earth New York, New York U.S.A.
I danced with Bill T. Jones for 4 years and toured with him throughout the world. The other choreographers I worked with before, during, and after those four years.
Spring 1991: Dancer New York City Opera/Lincoln Center New York, U.S.A.
I was guest for one season because I performed in the Dance/Opera ''The Mother of Three Sons'' where I performed the third son. This was choreographed by Bill T. Jones and was a co-production with the Munich Biennale. This was also recorded tor German Television.
Spring 1984: Performer Robert Wilson's ''Exploring King Lear'' U.C.L.A. Los Angeles, Califonia. I performed in this World Premiere Works in Progress as actor and dancer.
Sept. 1984 to Sept. 1998: Actor/Dancer/Model Los Angeles, California.
I was in a Talent Agency and did many comercials and music videos. Some artists that I worked with: John Landis, Paula Abdul, and B.B. King.
Fall 1983: Actor ''The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe'' University of Texas at Austin U.S.A. I performed in this World Premiere the role of the Monkey in this Childrens Theater piece.

Summer 1983: Full Scholarship to attend the American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina at Duke University. Teachers: Lee Connor, Simone Forti, Chuck Davis, and Betty Jones.
Summer 1983: Presidential Scholar in the Arts Award in Washington D.C., U.S.A.
I performed at the Kennedy Center tor the Performing Arts for President Ronald Reagan and received the Presidential Scholar Medallion. This is the highest award for a High School graduating Senior to receive in the U.S.A.
Summer 1983: Arts Recognition and Talent Search Finalist Miami, Florida , I was selected to compete against other graduating High School students throughout the nation and won the highest award in dance.
FILM AND VIDEO

1992: “The Last Supper at Uncle Toms Cabin” By Bill T. Jones a Film made for BBC and PBS. I was dancer for this Documentary about Bill and the Company.

1991: “The Little Leutenant” By Sally Silvers a film made for the National Endowment for the Arts. I was Dancer for this short film.

1989: “The Mother of Three Sons” By Bill T.Jones a Film made for German Television WDR. I was the third son in this film which premiered for the Munich Biennale.

1983: “These Gifts” By National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, Miami, Florida. A Competition I won and danced in for PBS.
PUBLICATIONS

2007: “Creativity Throughout the Year: A Book for Learning and Teaching in the Arts” This book was written by me and is planned to be published 2008.

2006: “Authentic Emotions: Intercultural Music, Theater, and Dance Collaborations Shared through the APPEX 2006 Experience” written and published for the U.C.L.A. Archives and APPEX Home Page.

2006: “Celebrating 10 Years of Choreography in Germany: A Retrospective Focus on Five Choreographic Works” Masters Degree Thesis for U.C.L.A. and is part of the Deutsche Tanz Archivs in Cologne, Germany.

2005: “Schritte Verfolgen” Portrait on the Choreograper Susanne Linke by Norbert Servos.
I danced for this Choreographer 6 years in Germany and I am mentioned on page 177 in this book.

1995: “Last Night On Earth” by Bill T. Jones. I danced with the company from 1989 until 1992. I am mentioned in this book during the production of “The Last Supper at Uncle Tom´s Cabin”.

1993: “Ausgangspunkt Folkwang” Zur Geschichte des Modernen Tanzes in Nordrhein-Westfalen. This book was an overview about the German Tanztheatre History in the Northrhein Westfalia area published for a Russian Tour. I am mentioned in this book as one of the dancers involved with this tour.

1992: “Sea, Sand & Stars: Twenty Years Dancing at The Yard” This is a Retrospective book of the Choreographers who have come to the Yard. A photo of me is featured with the Shapiro and Smith Dance Co. I premiered the piece “To Have and to Hold” there in 1989.
