Kathrin Krottenthaler ist Kamerafrau, Filmeditorin und Videokünstlerin. Sie war ein festes Mitglied des Teams von Christoph Schlingensief und war an Produktionen u. a. an der Volksbühne Berlin, dem Burgtheater Wien, dem Haus der Kunst in München, der Deutschen Oper Berlin, dem Schauspielhaus Zürich, dem Teatro Amazonas in Manaus und der Filmgalerie 451 beteiligt. Ihre Arbeiten wurden in zahlreichen Ausstellungen und auf internationalen Filmfestivals gezeigt. (Berlinale, Int. Filmfestival Göteborg, Festival des Deutschen Films, Int. Hofer Filmtage, Max Ophüls Preis, Filmes de Femmes Paris, Clermont-Ferrand, Oberhausener Kurzfilmtage, Shanghai Biennale etc). Für den Nationalen Preis für Bildgestalterinnen im Rahmen des IFFF in Köln wurde sie für ihre Kameraarbeit bereits zweimal nominiert. Sie arbeitete als Live-Kamerafrau und Videokünstlerin in Theaterproduktionen von René Pollesch, Frank Castorf, Schorsch Kamerun, Helene Hegemann, Sibylle Berg, der Deutsch-Englischen Performance Gruppe Gob Squad und andcompany&Co.
