Dilek Mayaturk, geboren 1986 in Istanbul, studierte in ihrer Heimatstadt und in Klagenfurt Soziologie. Als Dokumentarfilmerin und Autorin arbeitete sie fur unterschiedliche Medien. 2014 erschien ihr Gedichtband „Cesaret Koleksiyonu“ (Yeniinsan Verlag), 2020 „Brache“ (Hanser Berlin) und 2021 „Bir Daha Yok Cicegi“ (Klaros Verlag). Dilek Mayaturks zweisprachiges literarisches Werk wurde mit Literaturstipendien des Berliner Kultursenats (2022), dem Schloss Wiepersdorf (2024), dem Kunstlerhaus Edenkoben (2022), der Kulturakademie Tarabya (2023/2024) und der Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung (2023) ausgezeichnet. Zudem erhielt sie die Cahit Sitki Taranci Honourable Mention (2010), den Gurhan Uckan Poetry Award (2015) und den dritten Platz des Kemal Ozer Poetry Awards (2021). Sie denkt, schreibt und ubersetzt Poesie in zwei Sprachen. Sie lebt in Berlin.
