Jenny Theisen studierte Kommunikationsdesign mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie und Video an der Hochschule Düsseldorf und schloss ihr Studium im Rahmen eines Arbeitsaufenthaltes in Los Angeles ab. Im Anschluss absolvierte sie eine dreijährige Kostümassistenz am Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Seit 2016 arbeitet sie als freie Kostüm- und Bühnenbildnerin, u. a. am Schauspielhaus Wien, am HAU Berlin, am Schauspielhaus Graz, am Staatstheater Nürnberg, der Ruhrtriennale, der Neuköllner Oper und wiederholt am Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Sie entwarf bereits Kostüme für Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Constanza Macras, Alexander Eisenach und Nils Zapfe. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit verbindet sie mit dem Regisseur und Autor Felix Krakau, die gemeinsame Arbeit „Peer Gynt“ gewann 2019 das Körber Studio für junge Regie.
