Nikolaus Hanjohr-Popa wurde 1969 in Budapest geboren. Nikolaus Hanjohr-Popa wurde 1969 in Budapest geboren. Er studierte u. a. bei Peter Wöpke (Bayerische Staatsoper München), bei Prof. Reiner Ginzel (Musikhochschule München) und bei Prof. Miklós Perényi (Franz-Liszt-Konservatorium Budapest). Er ist Preisträger beim internationalen Wettbewerb »Carl Maria von Weber« und gewann den »Großen Förderpreis der Konzertgesellschaft München e.V.«, außerdem war er Finalist im internationalen Wettbewerb der ARD. Auftritte als Solist und Kammermusiker im In- und Ausland. Seit 1996 ist er als Stellvertretender Solo-Cellist an der Staatsoper unter den Linden in Berlin tätig.
