Sebastian Heinzel, geboren 1979 in Kassel, ist freier Autor und Filmemacher. Er startet seine Karriere als Journalist für Tageszeitungen und beim Musikfernsehen. Später entdeckt er seine Leidenschaft für den kreativen Dokumentarflm. Bereits vor seinem Regiestudium an der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg realisiert er die beiden Kinodokumentarflme b24 und 89 MILLIMETER, die international vielfach ausgezeichnet werden und eine Kinoauswertung in Deutschland und Österreich erfahren. Sein preisgekrönter Kurzflm SAMAGON wird auf über 40 Filmfestivals weltweit eingeladen und von internationalen Fernsehsendern angekauft. Im Jahr 2010 gründet er seine eigene Produktionsfirma HEINZELFILM. Sebastian Heinzel arbeitet als Dozent an Hochschulen im In- und Ausland und leitet Workshops und Seminare.
