Die norwegische Sopranistin lebt seit vielen Jahren in Karlstad/Schweden, wo sie Ensemblemitglied der Värmlandsoperan war. Sie gastierte in den letzten Jahren an vielen internationalen Bühnen wie dem Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brüssel (u. a. Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw und die Hauptpartie in John Caskens God’s Liar), der Deutschen Oper am Rhein (Titelpartie in Katja Kabanova), dem Grand Théâtre de Genève (Jenufa), dem Festival dei due Mondi Spoleto (Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier) und der Königlichen Oper in Oslo (Titelpartie in Salome und Emilia Marty in Die Sache Makropulos). Anne Bolstad war seit der Spielzeit 2002/03 als Ludmila in Die verkaufte Braut, als Ghita in Der Zwerg, als Leonore in Fidelio, als Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte, als Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, als Katerina in Lady Macbeth von Mzensk und als Larina in Jewgeni Onegin an der Komischen Oper Berlin zu erleben. In der Spielzeit 2005/06 wird Anne Bolstad als Despina in Così fan tutte auf der Bühne stehen.

The Norwegian soprano lives for many years in Karlstad/Sweden, where she was member of the ensemble of the »Värmlandsoperaen«. In the last years she made guest appearances on many international stages. She was seen at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels (amongst others as Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw and in the main role of John Casken' s God’s Liar), at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (title part in Katja Kabanova), at the Grand Théâtre de Genève (Jenufa), the Festival dei due Mondi Spoleto (Marshal in The Knight of the Rose ) and at the Royal Opera in Oslo (title role in Salome and Emilia Marty in The Makropolus case). Since the 2002/03 season Anne Bolstad was seen at the Komische Oper Berlin as Ludmila in The Bartered Bride, as Ghita in The dwarf, as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, as Leonore in Fidelio, as the First Lady in The Magic Flute, as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, as Katerina in Lady Macbeth of Mzensk and as Larina in Jewgeni Onegin. In the 2005/06 season Anne Bolstad will also sing Despina in Così fan tutte.
