Hier spielte er u. a. in »Verbrechen und Strafe« (Regie: Nora Somaini und Titus Georgi) die Rolle des Rodion Raskolnikov. Bereits während des Studiums Gastengagements am Schauspiel Hannover: »Floh im Ohr« (Regie: Thomas Dannemann) und »Was ihr wollt« (Regie: Marius von Mayenburg). 2016 spielte er erstmals am Jungen SchauSpielHaus Hamburg in »funny girl« (Regie: Clara Weyde). Im selben Jahr war er auch in »Hamletmaschine« (Regie: Sophia Barthelmes) am Thalia in der Gaußstraße zu sehen.
Seit der Spielzeit 2016-17 gehört Gabriel Kähler fest zum Ensemble des Jungen SchauSpielHauses. Hier ist er u. a. zu sehen in »Demian«, »In einem tiefen, dunklen Wald« und »Nichts. Was im Leben wichtig ist«.
