Die Multi-Perkussionistin wirkte bei Uraufführungen bedeutender Werke etwa von Mauricio Kagel, Rebecca Saunders, Karlheinz Stockhausen und Wolfgang Rihm mit. Ihre musikalische Flexibilität und Vielseitigkeit stellt sie regelmäßig bei international beachteten Projekten unter Beweis, u. a. mit dem afrikanischen Perkussionisten Kofi Ghanaba, dem Avantgarde-Künstler Günther Uecker oder der Choreographin Sasha Waltz. Schulkowsky hat zahlreiche Kompositionen für Tonträger eingespielt und sich als Komponistin für Theater- und Filmproduktionen sowie mit Werken für Solo-Schlagzeug und Percussion-Ensembles einen Namen gemacht.
