Since the start of the 25/26 season, the Intergenerational Chorus and the Children's Club of the Deutsche Oper Berlin have been collaborating on a staged concert. In doing so, they explored whether different generations value different things—or whether there might actually be more that unites them than divides them. The starting point was the word “WERTschätze” (treasures). The result is an adventurous journey—to a museum with a magical cat, into the underworld, and to our wishes and longings.

Musically, the journey takes us through various eras of music history: from Georg Philipp Telemann and Christoph Willibald Gluck to film music and rap, there’s something for everyone. Of course, there’s a happy ending. read less
