Their latest album, »TWIST« (Grand Hotel van Cleef), features both a piano ballad protesting the right wing party AfD, a radio-friendly pop song about escaping to the countryside, and a rock parody carried by drunken sing-along voices. Media, politics, dating apps—the quintet has collected plenty of hot-button issues and frustration with societal grievances to craft political songs that exude a compelling sense of urgency in both form and content. At Kampnagel, Adam Angst will play a free concert in the club as part of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS Democracy Festival, which concludes two days later with a performance by the legendary punk band Die Goldenen Zitronen.
