At our regular meetings, we have often been able to take a special look behind the scenes of the Deutsche Oper Berlin or meet outstanding personalities from the cultural scene.

For the next Jour Fixe, we are combining both: in October and November, our former scholarship holder, bass-baritone Byung Gil Kim, will be preparing for his role debut as Heinrich der Vogler in Richard Wagner's LOHENGRIN. How does a singer prepare for a role in an existing production? Our producer Constanze Weidknecht will show us and answer this question during the evening.

We will attend the first rehearsal in which Byung Gil Kim prepares for his role debut and experience first hand how he becomes Heinrich der Vogler.
