The collective KORNBLUM-RETTENMUND – the choreographer and performer Tamara Rettenmund and the stage designer and artists Amelie Hensel - goes together with the musician Christoph Rothmeier on a heroic travel into the dark fields of outer space and those of the tulle. They open their research to the aspects of a sounding stage. They interweave panels of different webbing and follow the call of adventure. With the background of the multiple sclerosis disease of the performer QUEST is a search for the dance of new legs in twelve chapters. The path leads along a steep wall into earthy furrows. Light is breaking in the fragments, opening up the space in various directions and showing the vulnerable and invincible body. The test assembly emerges into a daring adventure: not to know. To find an own measurement. With lame wings. How long to hold a pause? Is this the moment, when dance originates from a gaze?
QUEST is the result of a residence and the first evening-filling piece by the collective Kornblum-Rettenmund within the frame-work of Making a Difference - Tanzpakt Stadt Land Bund, which advocates a change in the Berlin dance scene through a self-confident and visible community of dancers with disabilities.
