Synopsis

The film chronicles the fates of three men who accidentally got caught in the mills of the secret police and the judiciary of the former GDR. They look back on a life that was torn from their hands by arbitrariness, secret police and justice. Their everyday life consisted of torture, hunger and violations of human dignity. Today they are around 90 years old and tell their story on behalf of 250,000 imprisoned GDR citizens.
