Synopsis
Our film profiles a seminal player in the narrative of the Second World War, who is all but unknown: Carl Clauberg (1898-1957). He worked in Auschwitz next to Mengele, but no one knows his name. He was trusted by Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler to carry out a scheme to sterilize the populations of all the conquered Slavic countries. Slavs would serve as slave laborer for the Reich until they die. But they would never procreate. To examine his method, Clauberg found Jewish women in Block 10 in Auschwitz. By comparison, Mengele’s twin experiments were dilettantefantasies. Who was Claus Clauberg, and why is he important?
