Synopsis

A comedy of manners in which Jean-Jacques, a down-to-earth factory owner, falls for Clara, a cultured actress he once fired as his English teacher. Meanwhile Moreno, Jean-Jacques' macho bodyguard, has an affair with Manie, a progressive young woman who works in a café frequented by Clara's friends, while Moreno's pal Deschamps works as a chauffeur for Jean-Jacques' wife, Angélique ...

Directing debut for the screenwriter of Alain Resnais' SAME OLD SONG (1998 Cesar for Best Screenplay), Philippe Muyl's KITCHEN WITH APARTMENT, Alain Resnais' SMOKING NO SMOKING (Cesar 1994) and Cedric Klapisch's FAMILY RESEMBLANCES (1996 Cesar for Best Screenplay).
