Synopsis

After the death of her uncle, an influential dignitary of Mandingo Islam, the director films her family court. An inheritance trial breaks out between the supporters of customary law and the defenders of official law, inherited from Western colonization. The court becomes the theater where the future of an emblematic family is played out.
